Spotin announced the results of its first Panhellenic School Map Competition, “Refugee Paths – Mapping the Stories of Refugees 100 Years after 1922.”
The Competition invited students to explore the personal stories and journeys of refugees who arrived in Greece following the Asia Minor Catastrophe. Through research, interviews and the use of digital mapping tools, students transformed historical information and family memories into digital geo-narratives.
The first Competition brought together students and teachers in an experiential learning journey that combined history, geography, technology and storytelling.
The quality of the submitted projects made the evaluation particularly challenging, with students demonstrating creativity, research skills and a strong personal connection to the stories they explored.
The awarded projects were presented during a dedicated online ceremony, while the Competition itself marked the beginning of Spotin’s journey in using digital maps and geo-storytelling as tools for meaningful learning.
