As part of the GEO-Academy project’s educational activities, the Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus hosted training seminars for primary and secondary school educators across the island.
In the first online seminar (November 23, 2024), Dr. Loukas Katikas from NTUA introduced the GEO-Academy project and its educational platform GEOBSERVE, while Alkyoni Baglatzi from Spotin showcased how maps and storymaps can transform classroom learning, presenting the Panhellenic School Map Competition and various other practices and applications.
In-person hands-on workshops followed on December 13–14, during which Alkyoni Baglatzi guided educators in creating their own geospatial narratives.
