The kick-off event of the 3rd Panhellenic School Map Competition took place on November 12, 2024, featuring two insightful presentations.
Dr. Elpida Kolokytha from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki analyzed the challenges arising from the growing imbalance between water demand and natural supply, focusing on the water challenges facing Greece.
Dr. Eleni Tomai from NTUA illustrated the power of maps as a functional tool, showing how they can visualize data, generate knowledge and give meaning to space.
Many thanks to both speakers and to all educators from across Greece who attended and showed great enthusiasm for the new Competition theme!
