On October 24–25, 2023, Marathon Data Systems hosted the annual ArcGIS Users Meeting for Greece and Cyprus, bringing together ArcGIS users from companies, organizations, universities and municipalities. Spotin showcased the Map Competition as a best-practice example of digital map-based learning in education.
A highlight of the opening General Assembly was the presentation by three students from the Philothei High School, who shared their award-winning mapping project on barriers, accessibility and inclusion – an inspiring and hopeful moment for the Competition and all attendees.
