Opening Event of the 4th Map Competition

The launch event of the 4th Panhellenic School Map Competition took place on 4th November, with record participation – the highest turnout to date.

The Competition’s philosophy and key implementation stages were presented, setting the framework for this year’s creative journey.

Keynote speaker was Dr. Eleni Tomai, Assistant Professor of Topography at NTUA, who highlighted the significance of maps and landmarks in shaping the identity of a place and fostering a sense of belonging. As she noted, “It is important to feel that your space belongs to you, to experience it as lived space… This year’s theme helps students build their own identity, express it, map it and communicate it to a wider audience.

Online training sessions for the Competition begin on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
