Spotin participates as a project partner in the ERASMUS+ project SME-RISE (Business Modelling Skills for Drone Entrepreneurs), which aims to strengthen entrepreneurship in the drone services sector.
Despite the rapid growth of the drone market, transforming innovative ideas into sustainable businesses remains a key challenge for many SMEs, startups and young entrepreneurs.
SME-RISE aims to address this need by developing practical training resources for entrepreneurs in the sector, including digital learning tools, a guidebook, VR-based training, and an interactive online platform to support learning and collaboration.
As part of the project’s first phase, a Training Needs Analysis has already been completed, capturing the key challenges and skill gaps in the sector. These insights will guide the development of the project’s upcoming educational activities.
Building on its experience in digital tools, geospatial technologies and education, Spotin contributes to the design of training approaches that support skills development in the drone ecosystem, in collaboration with the other project partners from Greece, Portugal, and Cyprus: Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Future Needs, European Progress, Instituto Pedro Nunes.
