Spotin launches its first Panhellenic School Map Competition, “Refugee Paths – Mapping the Stories of Refugees 100 Years after 1922”, marking the centenary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
The Competition invites students to research and document the personal stories and journeys of refugees who arrived in Greece, transforming historical memories into digital maps and geo-narratives.
Working together with their teachers, students will explore family and local histories, search for testimonies and sources, and map the journeys that shaped the lives of refugee communities in Greece.
The project combines history, geography, technology and storytelling, giving students the opportunity to become young researchers while developing digital and spatial skills.
Most importantly, the Competition connects digital learning with historical memory, helping a new generation discover stories that might otherwise have remained untold.
