Spotin (Spotlight on Innovation) is pleased to announce the results of the 4th Panhellenic School Map Competition, held under the theme “The place we live in. Mapping our Local Landmarks” during the 2025–2026 school year.
This year’s Competition reached a new milestone: 68 schools from across Greece and Greek schools abroad participated, with 1,155 students and teachers submitting 78 school projects. Using digital maps and geo-storytelling tools, students explored the history, monuments and landmarks of their own communities, turning them into original digital narratives (storymaps).
The Evaluation Committee’s work was particularly demanding. This is why, apart from the prizes awarded in each school category, a number of projects received Honorary Mentions for their distinctive thematic approach, historical or cultural interest, students’ personal touch and the depth of student research.
All projects will be progressively made available in the Competition’s Digital Library at mapcompetition.gr/psifiaki-vivliothiki.
An online award ceremony is planned for early June 2026 – the exact date will be announced shortly.
Full results are available in the press release (in Greek) here.
